Calls for Service August 29, 2013

While on a motor vehicle stop, officers detected CDS in the vehicle. A 23 year old Philadelphia resident and a 22 year old Camden resident were placed under arrest. All appropriate charges were filed.

 

A 39 year old Glassboro resident and a 49 year old Woodbury resident were observed behind the Woodbury Court Apartments, an area clearly posted “No Trespassing”. Both subjects were placed under arrest on numerous municipal ordinance violations. The Glassboro resident was also found to be in possession of CDS. Complaints were filed.

 

A 30 year old Woodbury resident was observed crossing Mantua Avenue against the traffic signal. Motor vehicles had to stop abruptly to avoid striking the male. He was issued a summons for obstruction of traffic and improper crossing.

 

A 30 year old Westville resident known to officers to have active outstanding warrants for his arrest was located on N. Broad Street. The male was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The male was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration.

 

A 31 year old Woodbury resident was observed improperly crossing N. Broad Street. The male was stopped, advised of his violation. The subject was then issued a summons.

 

Several individuals were issued summonses for violation of occupant standards; living in a rental unit and not being on the lease.

 

While on a motor vehicle traffic stop it was learned the passenger had an active outstanding warrant. The 36 year old Paulsboro resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration.

 

A High Street resident reported on her return home she realized unknown person/s attempted to enter her home. The door to the home had apparent pry marks. Entry was not gained. The victim was advised to contact the police if anyone or anything suspicious is in the area.

 

A 55 year old N. Evergreen Avenue resident advised she lost her prescription. She was advised a report would be on file.

 

Police were dispatched to a Woodland Avenue residence for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

WaWa employees requested officers for a shoplifting incident. The accused was leaving in a motor vehicle. The accused was located. The stolen property was located. The accused was placed under arrest and issued a summons for shoplifting.

 

A 25 year old West Deptford resident reported her credit card was reported stolen however, the card was used in the Woodbury area. She was advised a report would be on file.

 

Cash for Gold reported a subject came into the store selling a gold bracelet. It was later determined the bracelet was not gold. He was advised of the procedure to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

A Curtis Avenue resident reported her business vehicle was damaged while parked in the municipal lot on Railroad Avenue. Unknown subject broke a window to the vehicle.  A second vehicle was also located with a broken window. The registered owner was notified of the damage.

 

 

 

Calls for Service August 28, 2013

Police were dispatched to the area of Carpenter Street for a bicycle theft. A juvenile reported his bicycle was taken while he was at a friend’s home. A description of the bike was provided. Officers checked the area with negative results.

 

A 50 year old Deptford resident was observed crossing S. Broad Street at E. Barber Avenue against the traffic signal causing vehicles to stop abruptly to avoid striking him. The accused was issued a summons for obstruction of traffic.

 

As a result of a motor vehicle stop, a 30 year old Woodbury resident was placed under arrest for active outstanding warrants. The accused was also charged with trespassing and hindering apprehension. The accused was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department.

 

A S. Davis Street resident advised her neighbor’s have tapped into her electrical outlet. She disconnected the extension cord and advised their electric had been turned off. No complaints will be signed at this time.

 

A 24 year old Woodbury resident was present in court and placed under arrest for failure to perform her community service. She was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department.

 

Police responded to a Myrtle Avenue residence for a damage to property report. The homeowner advised during the storm a tree fell onto her property damaging the gutters. PSE&G was notified of the tree lying on the wires.

 

Woodbury units were dispatched to a Curtis Avenue residence for glass breaking. The tenant advised unknown person/s attempted to break the window to her apartment. Entry was not made. Extra patrols will be in the area.

 

While on a motor vehicle stop the driver was found to have active outstanding warrants for her arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. At headquarters the accused was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department in default of bail.

 

A 49 year old Westville resident was observed on S. Broad Street drinking from an open container of alcohol. The accused was issued a summons, the alcohol was destroyed and the container was placed in the trash.

 

Officers responded to a domestic violence incident on N. Broad Street. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Calls for Service August 27, 2013

Officers were dispatched to a Maple Street residence for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Police responded to the Carriage House Apartments for a criminal mischief incident. The tenant advised unknown person/s broke the outer window pane to the bedroom window. The victim was advised to contact the police immediately if anything suspicious or unusual were to occur.

 

A Tatum Street resident reported a male had entered her vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and the victim was able to provide a detailed description of the accused. The accused was located and placed under arrest. All appropriate charges were filed.

 

Police responded to a domestic violence incident at the Carriage House Apartments. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

A Tatum Street resident advised unknown actor/s removed firewood from his rear yard. The victim was advised to contact the police immediately if anyone or anything suspicious occurs in the area.

 

A Deptford resident came into headquarters to report the theft of furniture. She was advised a report would be on file and directed to the court clerk’s office to sign a complaint.

 

Calls for Service August 26, 2013

Police were dispatched to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy for a shoplifting. A 50 year old Camden resident entered the store and concealed merchandise on his person. The accused was placed under arrest and issued a summons for shoplifting. He was advised he was no longer welcome in the store.

 

Officers responded to the Mother/Child Development Center for a harassment complaint.  The victim stated a 25 year old Glassboro resident has been confrontational with her on numerous occasions. She was advised of the procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

A 53 year old Paulsboro resident was observed on S. Broad Street attempting to solicit money from individuals. The accused has been advised in the past to cease the activity. He was issued a summons for Breach of Peace.

 

A Paulsboro resident reported she inadvertently left her phone at Little Ceasar’s Pizza. The clerk advised her no phone was located in the store. A review of the video surveillance revealed the clerk took the phone. The phone was returned to its proper owner. The clerk was appropriately charged.

 

 

Calls for Service August 23-25, 2013

A 40 year old Woodbury resident was shot during an attempted robbery. Incident remains under investigation.

 

A 47 year old Woodbury resident was located inside a vacant property. The male was removed from the premises and issued a summons for trespassing.

 

A motor vehicle accident occurred on Cooper Street. One involved party became particularly upset, using profanities toward the other operator. A summons for breach of peace was issued.

 

A Woodbury resident reported while at the Evergreen Square, his bicycle was stolen while it was left in front of the Dollar General store. The bicycle was not locked.

 

A 61 year old Woodbury resident reported she is being harassed by telephone. The accused is a 52 year old Philadelphia resident. The victim was advised on the procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

Police responded to the Woodlake Apartment complex for a resident causing a disturbance. The 26 year old Woodbury resident appeared to be intoxicated, was using profane language while being argumentative with officers. He was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

 

While on a motor vehicle stop, officers located CDS paraphernalia in plain view. The passenger, a 21 year old Sicklerville resident, was placed under arrest for possession of CDS paraphernalia.

 

Two Woodbury residents were observed consuming alcoholic beverages in the park near the YMCA after dark. Both were issued summonses for open container of alcohol in public and being in the park after dark.

 

A 49 year old Woodbury resident was stopped while riding his bicycle without proper lighting. Upon identification of the accused, it was learned he had an active outstanding warrant for his arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the issuing municipality released the accused on his own recognizance. The accused was then released from custody with his new court date and traffic summons.

 

A West Deptford resident advised officers he left his bike locked to a fence on N. Broad Street. When he returned the bicycle was missing. A description of the bike was provided. Officers checked the area with negative results.

 

CVS employees contacted police regards two males soliciting money from customers in the parking lot. A description of the accused was given to officers. One male was located. The male was found to have an active outstanding warrant for his arrest. While performing a search incident to arrest officers located CDS paraphernalia on the accused. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. He was released on his own recognizance by the issuing municipality. The accused was served with his summonses and released from custody.

 

Police responded to a residence in the Woodlake Apartment complex for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Police were dispatched to a Watkins Avenue residence for theft of services complaint. The house is supposed to be vacant. Two individuals were residing there and had hooked up their own electric line. Both were appropriately charged.

 

A High Street resident reported two bicycles removed from his shed. There are no suspects at this time. The homeowner requested extra patrols of the area.

 

Representatives of New World Cabinetry came into headquarters for a theft report. The individuals stated parts were delivered to a Woodbury residence and payment was not received. The materials were not returned to the business. The proper procedure for signing complaints with the court clerk’s was given.

 

A Lyman Avenue resident contacted police. Unknown person/s cut down a tree in the back yard of the residence. The victim was advised a report would be on file.

 

As officers were patrolling through the Woodlake Apartment complex, an area properly posted “no trespassing”, they observed a 29 year old Woodbury resident. This individual has been advised on numerous occasions not to be on the property. A complaint for trespassing was signed.

 

A Jackson Street resident reported her son’s new shoes and socks were removed from her residence. A juvenile friend advised he had taken them. Officers escorted the juvenile home and the articles were returned to their proper owner.

 

A complaint of a male yelling and screaming in the area of the playground at Woodlake Apartment complex was received. Officers located a 26 year old resident who was screaming and yelling profanities, apparently attempting to get someone’s attention. The male was escorted home and issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

 

An employee of the Tracee Too Nursery advised she found her wallet to be missing. The wallet and its contents were not located on the premises. The victim was advised a report would be on file.

 

An unknown male entered CVS Pharmacy and concealed merchandise on his person. When confronted the male fled on a bicycle. The description of the accused was provided to officers who searched the area with negative results. Management will provide a copy of the surveillance video to attempt to identify the accused.

 

Officers were dispatched to a High Street residence. The complainant advised they are receiving harassing telephone calls. The procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office were explained.

 

While on a motor vehicle traffic stop, the passenger was found to be in possession of CDS. The 33 year old Waterford resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was processed and issued his summonses.
