Calls for Service September 6-8, 2013

Police were dispatched to Woodlake Apartment complex for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Inspira Hospital contacted police regarding a patient admitted to crisis. The 48 year old Woolwich Township resident made threatening statements directed toward unknown individuals. The subject was admitted to the crisis unit.

 

Officers responded to Lupton Avenue for a suspicious incident. A Blackwood resident was responding to an ad for furniture for sale. The address given was a vacant property.

 

A 46 year old Woodbury resident reported unauthorized use of her debit card. The victim had already contacted her financial institution. She was advised a report would be on file.

 

A 24 year old Woodbury resident was issued a summons for breach of peace. The accused was creating a disturbance in the neighborhood, being loud and using profanities.

 

Officers observed a 26 year old Willingboro resident urinating on the side of the WaWa building. The accused was issued a summons.

 

While on a motor vehicle stop, the operator was found to have an active outstanding warrant for her arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was released on her own recognizance by the issuing municipality. The accused was released from custody with her new court date and traffic summonses.

 

A 53 year old Deptford Township resident was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

 

Several individuals were issued summonses for violation of occupant standards; residing in a rental unit and not being on the lease.

 

Two Woodbury residents were each issued a summons for animal abandonment.

 

A Carpenter Street resident reported during the overnight hours, the rear windshield of her vehicle was smashed. There are suspects in this incident. The victim was advised of the procedure to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

While on a motor vehicle stop, two individuals were found to have active outstanding warrants. Both Woodbury residents were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters both were released by the issuing municipalities on their own recognizance.

 

A 62 year old female was placed under arrest for trespassing. The individual was located behind the Kiss Club after hours.

 

Police observed a domestic violence incident on S. Broad Street. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

A 27 year old Paulsboro resident was observed urinating in public in the area of Protocal Staffing. The accused was issued a summons.

 

While on a motor vehicle stop the operator was found to have an active outstanding warrant for her arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was released on her own recognizance by the issuing municipality. The accused was then released from custody along with traffic summonses.

 

Officers observed a 53 year old Paulsboro resident attempting to solicit money from passersby on S. Broad Street. The accused was issued a summons for breach of peace.

 

A 53 year old Paulsboro resident was observed crossing S. Broad Street without using the proper pedestrian crossway. Vehicles had to stop abruptly to avoid striking the male. He was issued a summons for obstruction of traffic.

 

A 69 year old Woodbury resident was issued a summons for crossing S. Broad Street against the traffic signal.

 

Calls for Service September 5, 2013

Officers observed a male selling items from the trunk of his car in the Luk Oil parking lot. The male was issued a summons for soliciting without a permit.

 

A 27 year old Woodbury resident was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.

 

Police were dispatched to an E. Centre Street residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival four individuals were arguing loudly creating a nuisance. All four were issued a summons for breach of peace.

 

Officers observed a 40 year old Woodbury resident urinating in public in the area of E. Centre and S. Broad Streets. The accused was issued a summons.

 

A 24 year old Maple Shade resident was stopped by police on S. Broad Street. The male was drinking from an open container of alcohol. The alcohol was destroyed and placed in the trash. The male was issued a summons.

 

A 48 year old Swedesboro resident was observed soliciting money from customers at J&D Liquor. The accused was issued a summons for breach of peace.

 

While patrolling the area officers located a 50 year old Woodbury resident drinking from an open container of alcohol in the area of E. Barber and S. Broad Streets. The alcohol was destroyed and placed in the trash. The accused was issued a summons for same.

 

CVS Pharmacy reported a shoplifting in progress. Officers located an 18 year old Westville resident who had concealed items on his person. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The merchandise was returned to CVS. The accused was issued the appropriate summons.

 

Several property owners throughout the city were sent letters reminding them of the property maintenance ordinance. Follow up investigations will be conducted in ten days.

 

A Washington Avenue resident reported a juvenile entered his back yard and removed a bicycle. The victim lost sight of the accused. A search of the area was negative at this time.

 

Calls for Service September 4, 2013

Officers observed an 18 year old Westville resident skateboarding on N. Broad Street. The subject went into oncoming traffic causing a traffic hazard. The accused was issued a summons for obstruction.

 

A N. Broad Street resident reported unknown subject/s kicked in the door to the common hallway of the apartment building. Entry was not gained. The door is damaged and will be reported to the landlord.

 

A 47 year old Gloucester Township resident and a 41 year old Gloucester City resident were arguing on Penn Street. Both subjects were using profanity and shouting in the early morning hour. Each was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

 

A 54 year old Woodbury resident reported a 42 year old Paulsboro resident used her credit card without authorization. She was advised of the procedure to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

Officers observed a male subject on Hunter Street with an open container of alcohol. The accused was issued a summons accordingly.

 

Police responded to Bell Lake Apartments for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Officers observed a Paulsboro resident in the area of E. Barber Avenue consuming an open container of alcohol. The 42 year old female was issued a summons. The alcohol was destroyed and placed in the trash.

 

A resident of Bell Lake apartments reported the trunk to her vehicle was found open this morning. Nothing appeared to be removed from the vehicle.

 

A N. Maple Street resident advised sometime during the overnight hours, unknown person/s entered his motor vehicle. Nothing appeared to be missing at this time. The resident was unsure if the vehicle was locked.

 

A 52 year old Bell Lake apartment complex resident advised police during the overnight hours the windshield of her vehicle was shattered. Nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle at this time.

 

Calls for Service September 3, 2013

Officers observed a 42 year old Paulsboro resident with an open container of alcohol in the area of E. Barber and S. Barber Avenue. The accused was issued a summons for possession of open alcohol. The alcohol was destroyed and the container was trashed.

 

Several individuals received summonses for violation of occupant standards; residing in a rental unit and not being on the lease as well as committing an offense in a rental unit.

 

Police were dispatched to the area of Hendrickson Avenue for three dogs running at large. Neighbors stated the dogs got out of their yard through a hole in the fence. The dog’s owner retrieved the dogs and stated he would have the fence repaired as soon as possible. The dogs were properly licensed with the city.

 

A 36 year old Woodlake Apartment complex resident was issued a summons for allowing her dog to run at large. The accused did not have the dog licensed with the city and admitted she allowed the dog to run through the complex.

 

Officers observed a 34 year old Sicklerville resident along the railroad tracks; an area clearly marked no trespassing. The accused was found to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia as well as having an active warrant for his arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The accused was released on his own recognizance by the issuing municipality. He was released from custody with a new court date and all appropriate summonses.

 

A Tatum Street resident advised firewood was removed from his rear yard. The victim stated this is not the first time he has experienced this type incident. Extra patrols of the area were requested.

 

An employee of D.A. Nolt Commercial Roofing advised several tools were removed from his vehicle. The vehicle was parked at the Woodbury High School.  Video surveillance of the area will be reviewed in an attempt to identify the accused.

 

Calls for Service August 30-September 2, 2013

While on a motor vehicle traffic stop, officers learned the passenger had active outstanding warrants for his arrest.  The 35 year old Camden resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the issuing municipality released the accused on his own recognizance with a new court date.

A Lupton Avenue resident reported her vehicle was broken into during the overnight hours. The insurance card and registration are the only items missing. The victim stated the vehicle was locked.

 

Officers were dispatched to Bell Lake Apartments for a 911 emergency. The caller was found to be highly intoxicated. EMS arrived on scene and transported the 50 year old female to Inspira Hospital. While at the hospital, the female continually yelled profanity despite being advised numerous times to cease. The subject was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

 

Officers observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The operator was found to have an active outstanding warrant for his arrest. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The issuing municipality released the accused on his own recognizance. The subject was released from custody with his traffic summonses.

 

CVS Pharmacy reported a shoplifting. The accused was located at the bus stop by store security. Officers placed the accused under arrest and transported him to headquarters. The 45 year old Camden resident admitted to shoplifting the items and turned over CDS paraphernalia to police that was in his possession. The accused was appropriately charged and released from custody with his court date.

 

A Carpenter Street resident advised her daughter took her Family First card. She was advised of the procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

Bottom Dollar reported a shoplifting incident. The surveillance video reveals the accused leaving the store with a basket of items without paying for same. Attempts will be made to identify the accused.

 

A 48 year old Woodbury resident advised police an unknown female stole several items from her. She was advised to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office once the identity of the female is established.

 

A Dare Street resident reported she is receiving harassing telephone calls from a 24 year old Camden resident. Officers attempted to contact the accused but met with negative results. The victim was advised of the procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

Woodbury officers were dispatched to WaWa Food Market to assist West Deptford officers with a notification. The 24 year old West Deptford resident accused became combative and was acting in a disorderly fashion. He was appropriately charged.

 

Police responded to Inspira Hospital for a 24 year old Woodbury resident who was in possession of CDS. The accused was admitted to the hospital and the CDS was located during a patient inventory. The accused was issued summonses.

 

A 23 year old Paulsboro resident, known to police to have active outstanding warrants, was located on S. Broad Street. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was turned over to Gloucester County Sheriff’s officers in default of bail.

 

Officers were dispatched to W. Centre Street for a domestic violence incident. All domestic violence guidelines were completed.

 

Police responded to a S. Broad Street residence for a medical emergency. While on location it was learned the tenant had active outstanding warrants for her arrest. The 48 year old female was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the issuing municipalities released the accused on her own recognizance. She was then released from custody with new court dates.

 

While on a motor vehicle traffic stop, the passenger was found to have active outstanding warrants for his arrest. The 28 year old Pittsgrove resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the accused was turned over to Gloucester County Sheriff’s officers for incarceration.

 

Property owners in the city were issued summonses for failing to have their property licensed as a rental unit.

 

A 38 year old Woodbury resident, known to officers to have active outstanding warrants for his arrest, was located on S. Broad Street. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The accused was transported to the Camden County Jail in default of bail.

 

A High Street property owner reported to police damages done to the property by her former tenant. She was advised of the procedures to sign complaints with the court clerk’s office.

 

Several individuals were issued summonses for violation of occupant standards; residing in a rental unit and not being on the lease.

 

CVS employees contacted police regarding a shoplifting. The accused was identified by employees. The 35 year old Pittsgrove resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. At headquarters the subject was issued a summons for shoplifting and advised he is no longer welcome at the CVS.

 

A West Berlin resident advised two storage sheds on Railroad Avenue were burglarized. Several items were removed from the shed. Incident remains under investigation.
